Kate Arthur

Kate Arthur is the Director of the Theatre Department at Johns Creek High School. Mrs. Arthur graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Theatre Arts, earned her teaching degree from Providence College, and studied theatre abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She also holds a master’s degree in Technology Integration from Kennesaw State University.

Mrs. Arthur began her teaching career in 2003 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island where she taught for eight years before moving to Georgia in 2011 to teach theatre at Northgate High School. After starting a family, she taught English Language Arts and Theatre at Autrey Mill Middle School and FAVE before joining the Johns Creek High School faculty in 2026. Mrs. Arthur has been married to her husband, Jonathan, since 2003, and together they have two sons, Jackson and Luke, along with their dog, Scout (aka Jean Louise Finch), and their cat, Toothless.

Mrs. Kate Arthur is an actress, singer, dancer, director, choreographer, and continues to perform whenever time allows. She believes that theatre is one of the most powerful ways to build empathy, confidence, and community. Her goal is to create a program where every student feels challenged, supported, and valued, and where every production gives students the opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves.
